Sixth Form Enrolment 2023
Enrolment into Heckmondwike Grammar Sixth Form will be Thursday 24 August 2023 between 08.00am and 1:00pm.
Timings
- 08.00am -10.30 existing HGS Students
- 11.00am – 01.00pm New Admissions

You will need to bring the official summary of results, as issued by your school, (together with any GCSE results you may have obtained in Year 9 or Year 10). It is extremely important that you bring your results on that day to enable us to confirm your place in the Sixth Form. If you do not bring these documents we may not be able to confirm your place.
In addition, we also require you to bring a copy of your up-to-date passport, or other official identification together with your UCI number (Unique Candidate Number). (Your UCI can found on the exam result sheet you will be issued by your current school).
Please enter the school through the main reception on High Street and you will be directed to the Sports Hall where you will begin the enrolment process. Firstly, your results and passport will be photocopied then you will have a discussion with a member of the Sixth Form Team, which will give you the opportunity to confirm/review your A Level options and choose your enrichment activities.
We will be happy to discuss any changes that need to be made with you on the day.
Please note that you must have enrolled before 1:00pm if you would like to attend Heckmondwike Grammar Sixth Form in September. If you have not enrolled by this time then your place may be allocated to another student on the waiting list.
Remote Enrolment
If you would like to enrol in our Sixth Form and you are not collecting your results in person, you should have already contacted Mrs Smith to book a remote enrolment appointment. If you have not already done this, or your plans have subsequently changed then please contact Mrs Smith at school using this email address: [email protected] before 14 July 2023 and she will book you an appointment. A member of the enrolment team will contact you between 8.00am and 10.30am to go through the enrolment process.
Please do not use the “contact us” form on the website, or any other members of staff email address to inform us of this information. Doing so may mean you are not contacted for remote enrolment, and you may lose your Sixth Form place.
Mrs Smith will then contact you with a link to a form on which you will need to upload the following information on results/enrolment day:
· Your HGS Code (found on your offer letter)
· Your GCSE results sheets issued by your school
· A copy of your valid passport or other other official identification
This documentation will then be used in your remote enrolment meeting when you will have the opportunity to confirm your A Level subject choices and your enrichment activities. Remote enrolment meetings will usually take place over the phone.
Sixth Form enrolment will close at 1:00pm on 24 August 2023
